Job Description: The CACFP Roundtable is seeking individuals who are passionate about the Child and Adult Care Food Program and committed to serving the CACFP community. By volunteering to serve on the CACFP Roundtable Board you can have an immediate and lasting impact; gain expertise on complex issues; build valuable networks and relationships; grow as leader; gain community recognition; and channel your creative energy. Expectations of Directors of the CACFP Roundtable Board include:
Serving as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director as they develop and implement the CACFP Roundtable’s strategic plan;
Providing critical feedback on the CACFP Roundtable’s impact, and regularly measure its performance and effectiveness;
Reviewing agenda and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings;
Actively and regularly participating in Board meetings (minimum two-thirds of regular meetings, or approximately 3 to 4 meetings per year) and participate in special programmatic events (i.e., the Annual CACFP Conference). Special considerations will be made on individual basis;
Approving the CACFP Roundtable’s annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions;
Serving on at least one Standing Committee (Executive, Finance, Conference, and/or Advocacy and Policy);
Representing the CACFP Roundtable to stakeholders; and
Ensuring the CACFP Roundtable’s commitment to a diverse board and staff that reflects the communities we serve.
Qualifications: Passionate about CACFP! Skills in advocacy, policy, finance, business management, communications, event planning, education and training are desired, but not required. A diversity of individuals, including race, gender, geography, professional and lived experience are encouraged to apply.
